Peter Iwers from IN FLAMES to Co Host Bandit Gothenburg show GROVMALET
Peter Iwers from In Flames will from this coming Sunday (march 7th) co-host the show “Grovmalet” which airs on Bandit Rock 104.8 Gothenburg and 105.7 (Bandit Rock Bohuslän).

Bandit Rock 104.8 Göteborg får förstärkning av In Flames!

Fredrik Stenberg bjuder varje söndagskväll (20-22) på en blandning av ny och gammal metall som skiljer sig ganska markant från det dagliga utbudet av rockmusik på Bandit Rock 104.8 Göteborg och Bandit Rock 105.7 i Bohuslän.
Programmet heter BANDIT GROVMALET och tar på ett engagerat sätt vara på det enorma intresse för hård rock i den riktigt tunga skolan som har sitt starka fäste i Göteborg.
Under hösten och vintern har programmet gästats av In Flames, Dark Tranquillity, Freak Kitchen, Avatar och en rad andra artister och grupper.

Med start den 7/3 får Fredrik Stenberg sällskap i Bandit Grovmalet-studion.
Peter Iwers, basist i Sveriges största metalband In Flames, kliver in som "co-host" och sidekick.

IN FLAMES UPDATE
Hi everyone
We just wanted to drop you a quick line and say hi and let you know what we are up to.

First of all we would like to say thanks for all the comments regarding Jesper. It means a lot to us to know that we have such great support from all of you out there! So thanks for that!

We have said it before but we would also like to thank you, all you amazing fans out there, for supporting us and coming to our shows. We had such a blast touring A Sense Of Purpose and it would not have been any fun without you!!!

Right now we are having a bit of break. Enjoying the winter and spending time with our families, re-charging the batteries, getting ready for the two Swedish festivals this summer (see the touring page for dates) and also slowly starting to write songs for the next album.

Jesper Strömblad Leaves In Flames
Jesper Strömblad, guitarist in In Flames has decided to leave the band permanently.

“I have decided it is best for me to leave In Flames and to quit the band permanently.

The last 17 years have been a blast, and I am proud to have been part of this great journey, with the most talented and amazing people anyone can wish to have the privilege to work with.

I’m also the luckiest guy in the world, to have the BEST fans in the world, who have been supporting me during my difficult times. It means the world to me, and I’m determined to fight and defeat my demons once and for all.... and by the help from you guys, I’m on my way.

I’m far from done with music, metal, or whatever my direction is taking me, so be sure to hear from me in the future.

We are losing a great guitar player and musician, but in order to keep a very dear friend this is probably for the best.

If this feels right for Jesper we are behind him 100% on his decision.

It is way too early to speculate about the future and possible replacements and things like that. However, we can assure you that In Flames will continue as a band, release albums and tour the World.

Last night at the annual BANDIT ROCK AWARDS In Flames won the award for Best Swedish Live Act!

This is the 5th (or is it the 6th?) Bandit Rock Award for In Flames.

IN FLAMES TO HEADLINE METALTOWN & ARVIKA FESTIVAL (Sweden)
After the hugely successful Swedish headline shows in December last year we are very proud to announce that IN FLAMES will be headlining Metaltown in Gothenburg (June 19th) and the Arvika Festival (July 16th).

In December 2009 IN FLAMES did their biggest Swedish headline shows in their career and played in front of 19 000 people over three days/shows (Stockholm/Hovet – Gothenburg/Scandinavium – Malmö/Arena).

“When we booked the headline shows last year we all said that they are to be the last shows for quite some time, especially back home in Sweden. But we had such an amazing time with all of you, our amazing fans, so when we got the question if we wanted to headline Metaltown and Arvika this summer the decision was pretty easy. YES!!!
