The man behind the bass of In Flames, Peter Iwers, joined the band in 1997. Before In Flames, Peter played in a band called Chameleon, and one day lead singer of In Flames Anders Fridén asked Peter to fill in for Johan Larsson, who had quit the band.

- “I never really joined the band, I just never left.”

Peter also runs a successful restaurant in Gothenburg called “2112″ along with Björn Gelotte. When not on the road, Peter spends alot of time at the restaurant and also with his wife and kids.
